I took out a credit card a month back due to my business visit to Dubai. When I picked up my card I asked if I can do internet banking. It was said yes I can and I did the registration. I also asked can I move transactions from the straight to budget on the internet and the answer was yes. This is not true. Today I wanted to transfer money and link up a beneficiary and it said I must contact my branch. Now I need to go in to the branch while I am abroad? I called Card division and they also said I must but then they tried to transfer my call to Pinetown Branch. I was holding for more then 30 min to get connected to the branch because they do not answer my call. Shocking but yes I paid for the call because I wanted it done. I spoke to Kevin and he said he can help me. I went threw all the security questions and confirmed it was me. He replied that he understand and I need not to worry. I also explained that when you have a credit card you cannot send a secure message to Standard Bank asking them to assist you. Now why am I limited? None the less I received notifications that it was done and a few minutes later a email from Kevin saying sorry we cant help.
