So I put in a claim in April with King Price and it is july, we have been sent from pillar to post with no results. My car windscreen was cracked and there is a company that replaced it for me and before replacing it they called the insurance and we put in a claim. they sent the quote and the king and his court said it was in order.
a few weeks later we follow up and we are told we cliamed for a side mirror, then later they say they looking for quotes from their suppliers.
Today I get a call from Sheldon who informs me that they have an arrangement with Glass Fit so they will only pay R1710 from a quote of R6100 and they will deduct the access of R750. He then informs me we paid too much for the windscreen because they pay R1710 as per their arrangement. I gave Glass Fit a call and lo and behold the windscreen costs R7580 and if they deduct the access then the King would still need to pay R6830. The lady made it clear that KP has never paid R1710 fr any windscreen that is not possible.
So I called Sheldon back with my findings and now he will get other quotes, quotes they have been getting for the past 2 months. In essence King Price is not a good insurance
