About a month ago, I was contacted by the Fonesure call center (apparently because I am a Virgin Mobile customer, who recently signed a new contract), who inquired whether I wanted insurance on my mobile phone. I repeatedly said I am too busy at the office, please email me so that I can look at the insurance policy, however, I had no intention of signing any contracts with any unidentified insurance companies. The person wanted to verify my banking details. After I refused, I never even received the email. On the 25th of June, a unauthorized debit order went off on my account. The deducted amount with reference "INSURANCE PREMIUM FONESURE MD-1513015-1", was R119.50. I demand that this debit order be cancelled immediately and that I am refunded, or I will not hesitate to take legal action and will approach the National Credit Regulator.
