Absa costing me a income

I recently left the company I worked for due to personal reasons. Just before I left I was contacted by various companies for possible employment.
Two days ago I was approached by a company urgently seeking to employ someone with my previous experience. I gave them the go ahead for a Credit Check, since I thought that everything was in order. To my horror I found out that Absa blacklisted me for a Credit Card which I settled 5 years ago!!
I immediately went to the Cape Gate branch, where a friendly consultant took in my query by calling their Legal department. They immediately advised her that they could see that I made the payment several years ago, and that it was a error on their side.
A error which is now costing me employment!!

I went for assessments yesterday, but because I needed some sort of confirmation from either a Absa branch or their legal department that the matter of my blacklisting was being attended to, I would miss the interview dates. I went to their Tygervalley branch, again, trying to salvage some sort of response but they stood their ground, telling me I had to wait, possibly until next week. This is pure bullsh%^!! I demand a response!
