Want to settle accounts, but unreasonable terms

Good morning, two of my credit cards are in bad debt with ABSA for the past two years - they have contacted me last year (after I had fixed arrangements with their attorneys, Newtons) to offer a very reasonable discount on settlement of my credit cards. I explained to them that I were not in the position to do so, although I wanted to badly. Now I have resigned with me employer and are in the position to do so, but will be waiting for my funds to be available after two months (this is also done by ABSA). Newtons gave me time until end January 2013 to settle at discounted rate otherwise I will have to pay full amounts - this when they KNOW I will not be able to do so and need to wait for my funds - I have proof of withdrawal etc, but they are not interested. It WILL be in best interest for ABSA as well if I settle the accounts. I asked if I could settle one of the account at discounted rate by paying 50% month end now and 50% month end February 2013 - but Newtons refused. I really want to settle my accounts but please just take my situation in consideration. I am so close to settling the accounts but your timelines is not reasonable as you know I will be able to do so shortly.
