Went into West End Pretoria branch for a withdrawal. The teller (Natasha Maart) provided good service and handed over the requested withdrawal. I requested a reprint of the withdrawal customer receipt, as usual, and the teller indicated that she is not sure if she is allowed to and will consult her team leader (Rehana Cassim). Rehana indicated that it's not possible. I then informed her that a copy is always provided to me upon request and showed her a copy I was provided from the previous withdrawal (24 May 2013). I made her aware that I also need proof of my transactions and it's always provided when I request it for my own record keeping and as an audit trail to correspond to my statement at the end of the month. She insisted that I'm not suppose to have one and that the bank does not do such. If I'm not suppose to have one then what proof do I have of the transaction that I have just made and what will I be reviewing my statement against upon receipt at the end of the month as there is no way I'm going to memories all the transactions I have made throughout the month. If the bank didn't provide this copy then I wouldn't always insist on it and have a copy from the previous withdrawal.
