Capitec Bank
REQUEST TO REDUCE LOAN INSTALMENTS

I requested to reduce my monthly instalments of R4700 to R2500 for 6 months so that i could sort my other financial obligations out without getting into arrears etc., the agent at the branch greeted me & was professional but when she learned i was not there for a loan but seek assistance she lost interest, phoned someone at headoffice who within 3 minutes told her i dont qualify. I then asked to cancle 2 debit orders was told i cannot do that without written authorisation from the retailers that i can. What!! since when do i need persmission from DSTV and Gym to cancel my debit orders. I was not even given an opportunity to say which debit orders i want to cancel. I didnt even ask for this loan i was called by an agent repeatdly last year telling me a qualify for a debt consolidation. NOw i need assistance im left out in the cold. Consumers Beware of banks offering consolidation loans we as consumers are not protected when we really need our banks to assist us they only nice to us when we sign on the dotted line for a loan. Im dissapointed in CAPITEC. Banked with them for 3 years now and referred many of my colleagues to them and this is how im treated. its a shame.
