I went through the whole process with Capitec as well. Great service at first, but I agree. they should use different criteria when assessing an application for a consolidation loan. The whole point of applying for 1 is because you are struggling to afford your other debt. The consolidation loan is supposed to make it easier. Applying for a consolidation loan is a last resort & they advertise ever where that you could get 1 to make life easier. Then why the when you apply do they say you cant afford 1? Absolute...
