Called into Outinsurance for a quote and the amount quoted was R669.00 for just my vehicle, where as my current insurance Dial Direct is R659 for my household cover and vehicle. When i questioned the amount I was told by the consultant that I had taken insurance with them previously and i had not paid and the fact that I was under debt review made my premium higher. When I said to the consultant that i have never had insurance with outsurance before but just asked for a quote, he promised to speak to his manager and call me back. This is now more than 2 weeks later and there is nothing to be seen or heard from Outsurance. Clearly this is their way of getting out of paying the R400 that they promise to pay in their adverts if they cant match or beat your premium. Very sneaky Outsurance and totally dishonest.
