Unacceptable waiting period

I lodged a vehicle claim on 8th May. On 9th May I submitted photos of my vehicle. A week later I phoned as I had not heard anything and was told they were waiting for the report from the assessors. On Friday 17th May I called again and spoke to JP van der Berg who said they had not received the photos and please could I resend them, which I did. He told me that assessment usually takes 48 hours and I had already been waiting 9 days. He gave me his email address and said I should email him if I hadn't heard anything by Monday. I didn't hear anything so emailed JP on Monday 20th May but did not get a response. I phoned again on 22 May and the assessment report had still not been received. I was finally contacted on Friday 24th May to say the report had been received and the claim had been approved. A copy of the report would be sent to the panel beaters. I phoned the panel beaters twice the following week but they only received the report from MiWay on Tuesday 4th June, almost a month after lodging my claim. Everything went very smoothly from there. The car rental department of MiWay was fast and efficient. Everything was organised in one day.
