My account was supposed to be closed?

I found out recently that my credit card account is still active and every month a service fee is allcated to the account and the balance is in excess of R1000? first of all ABSA blocked my credit card due to me being blacklisted due to the oversight of my attorney, even if i was paying, they refused me as a client so i paid up my account, but instead of closing my account, it remained active and has been for the past 2 years? nobody has ever contacted me regarding this. i do not understand how you can charge me a monthly service fee if you refuse that i use the account? thank you
