How can we nail you

I am currently under debt review and most of my debt is with FNB. I am in a position to pay off most of my debt so decided to call the debt review call centre to arrange settlement figures. I was told in no uncertain terms that they do not give settlements on credit cards (even though the other banks do). In actual fact on my one card their amount was R10 000.00 more than the amount i received from my debt councilor. They told me that we could get a settlement on my wife's personal loan but that she had to phone herself. When she phoned them they said they only give settlements on certain loans so she could not get one. I would think that the banks would rather get their money now than wait 7 years through the debt council.
I really think FNB should change their slogan to "How can we nail you" seeing as there is no-one that seems to be able to want to help me. If there is someone there that knows what can be done i would appreciate it if they would give me a call.
