We viewed a property in Discovery on 18th May, and having been told that bidding will close on Monday 09:00 submitted an offer (meeting all requirements and having more than a 10% cash deposit) the same afternoon. Our agent advised us on Mon 20th May that our offer had been accepted and that we now await the bank to sign-off. We have an email from Colvan Trust confirming this. We have been querying the delay for the last 3 weeks only to be told today that another offer had been accepted on 4th June - 2 1/2 weeks after the auction had been closed off already? Now we are expected to stand back and accept this??? I need feedback urgently!! I find this totally unacceptable, unethical and definitely unprofessional. I have been with Standard Bank for almost 20 years and if this is not sorted I will definitely move my banking somewhere else.
