On saturday 08/06/2013 time 01:43am i went to an ATM to withdraw money to pay a tow truck, I selected R800 message displayed on the screen was "your bank is currently experiencing problems". funny it went off my balance, I immidiately went to the nearest ATM and tried R100 only to recieve the same message and that also went off my balance. The tow truck driver took me home as he understood my problem, in the morning I went to a branch to enquire only to be told that there has to be an investigation. Irony is the R100 was reversed back into my account not R800. The 2nd transaction reversed yet investigate the 1st how stupid can one be? As a bank they are aware that they had system problems how dare they respond so foolishly. Worse, most of Capitec ATM's are closed at night hence I was forced to use another. This is no different than being conned by syndicate. I opened an account to have my money in a safe place only to be conned by the same bank I trusted to put my salary in. Security features to impress customers at the same time rob them off their money. I edge the public to be aware that Capitec Bank has a way to shift blame and conning starts with small amounts Viva Capitec bank
