I am insured with King price and I have submitted a claim on the 15 of April 2013. after almost two months they contact me saying they will fix the car. And I was told to go and get a qoutation of which I did. And I was told initially that my claim will cost R50 000. So now if they knew how much it will cost to fix my car why did they make me go and get a qoute?
Two days down the line i received an email saying they will pay R48 413 exluding the axcess. And now here is the catch, if they want me to take the car in for repairs at the panel beater of my choice who will pay the balance? According to our contract My excess is 2500 and what they are saying is I will have to pay balance after they pay what said they will pay. So now I need to know why change in the contract between me and them without me being notified. They should tell me of any changes made to the contract between us.
They shoud honour their contract with me, it looks like it's good when I pay my premiums and it is not good when I claim according to them. If my car is costing R58, 482.54 to fix I expect to pay my excess and they pay the balance. Not that they tell me they will pay R48 413.
