I applied for a home loan through ooba, FNB granted me a 100% loan in principle. A day or two later they sent an evaluator to assess the property. The feedback thereafter was that they could only grant me 83% based on the area of the property. I do not understand, I am their client they are happy with me why should the area. Matter & cannot afford a property in a posh area, if that is their basis. I have been with FNB for over 20 years& am very disappointed. Am currently looking elsewhere & whichever bank gives me the best deal, gets all my accounts. Why should I remain loyal to FNB?
