Repo of vehice due to unemployment

In Dec i lost my job. I heard that banks can " freeze " accounts or at least offer some help until one gets re employed. I have submitted all required papers but the bank refuses to help.
If i am only able to pay a little something to the account are they still entitled to repo my vehicle?
It is the only transport i have.
