RCS and Game Stores are us blind

I opened a Game store account about 12 months ago. Since then I have purchased exactly 3 things. A TV, a Dry Buddy and TV cables. So I have therefore only swiped my Store card 3 times. The card is spotless, nothing is wrong with it and yet when I tried to make a purchase on Friday 24th May at the Kenilworth Centre Game Store my card would not swipe.

So the cashier told me I have to go to the RCS stand at the back of the store, now instead of showing me where or getting someone to show me she points to the back of the store and says its down there. So I went to the RCS counter only to be told that I have to pay R35 for a new card!!! Thats ridiculous. Do you know how many cards I have received in the mail telling me "you have been pre approved for R10 000 RCS credit, all you have to do is take this card instore to have it activated." And they even are so kind as to print my name on the card when they send me them in the mail.

But now that my card wont swipe I have to pay R35 for a new one? My card was in excellent condition and it was not my fault that the teller could not swipe my card correctly.

I will gladly bring one of the ones I got in the mail to use.

I want my R35 back.
