During December I was phoned by FNB with whom I bank and offered a internet data bundle. I referred the offer to my daughter who after consulting with FNB agreed to the bundle subject to the ability to cancellation if the service was not satisfactory in North Riding where she lives. It turned out that signal problems rendered the service totally unsatisfactory and I cancelled the service with FNB within the agreed time frame and was told that Cell C would be notified. Subsequent to the cancellation I followed up with FNB after my account was debited in December and they confirmed that Cell C had been notified.
The debits still came off and on 25th March I stopped the debit order and notified Cell C of my action after which I received a call from them enquiring about my reason for cancellation. I explained the signal problem to the caller who said that he would my complaint to a "higher level" as My daughter was unable to use the data bundle as could be seen from the usage information. I have had no further contact from Cell C but my account is still being debited! I have been a Cell C cellphone for many years but I am not sure that I will renew my contract.
