When I recently changed my debit order details for my account with absa, they added additional insurance to my monthly instalment without my knowledge or approval. I did provide them with proof of my insurance when I bought the car, and to add insult to injury, their insurance amount on the vehicle alone was significantly more than my private comprehensive insurance! They did not make contact with me to inform me of this and when I queried the vehicle finance department they referred me to the insurance department. Bad service and unauthorised changes on my account without my approval, I can see why it would be better to move ALL my financial accounts to FNB, the service and security is WAY bette
