Outsurance
Outsurance rips off the innocent

My children and I had the unfortunate experience of an accident a month ago as I was on my way to drop them off at school. A lady driver hit us at a very high speed from the back and caused substantial damage to my car which is our only means of transport a POLO, 1.6 sedan. It is 7 years old, only 107, 000km on clock, new tires, shocks, been owned and driven by me since brand new. Her insurer Outsurance who shoud be acting to put me back in the SAME position I was in prior to the accident. The car is a write off according to Outsurance -I received a "settlement " worth 50% of the "so-called" value of my car from Outsurance! When I raised this with them providing 4 different appraisals which allude to fair market value of what it will cost me to be put back into the same situation that I was in before this incident are. (Valuation A R 79, 950; Valuation B R 75, 900; Valuation C R 79, 990; Valuation C R 89, 950; Average Market = R 81, 447.50) they still come back to me with a figure of R 64 000 - 30% (salvage) = R 44 800.00. I am a victim of the accident and Outsurance valuation model! Left without transport and no way to get a new car due to something that was not my fault =
