I approached FNb to open a bank account and was advised on taking the Smart Account Pay As You Use option. I was not told by the Branch Manager or the banker that to get the deal and charges, that they told me about i would have to keep a minimum of R5000 in my account at all times. Which person straight out of school, at there first job would agree to these ridiculous terms? I have now had to pay other charges that I was not informed about. I went into the bank to get statements and was not told i would be charged for them i saw the charges on my bank statement this month, the banker charged me for 3 pages when in fact i only received two because she made a error in what she had printed. How is this for "GREAT" customer service?
FNB I think your staff need to be Re -trained to give clients correct information as this is clearly not the type of account i require. I now have to find money for new card issue for a new account which i should not pay for as i was given false information about the account. I know await a response from you FNB.
