I have a sum1 account since 2002 when I was a student. I upgraded to cheque account in 2010 by I decided to keep my savings account. Late last year Standard bank started deducting R69 every month for management fees on my SUM1 account. I called the call center in February and all those management fees were reversed back into my account. The consultant I spoke to said I was not suppose to pay those fees, then in April i phoned the call centre again asking them about the management fees that were being deducted on my account again to my surprise that lady said I am suppose to pay the management fees. I am not going to pay those fees. I can not be paying R99 monthly on my cheque account and R69 on the SUM1 account.
