I have a Standard Bank account that was not in use and when I started using my account again an amount of R1680 was deducted from my account for not using the account. I called the Customer care line to find out why was the money deducted and I was told that it's Ledger fees but the lady on the line did not know what they were and refered me to the branch I went to the branch for assistance and an explaination and no one there knew what Ledger fees were and a case was opened on the 30 of March 2013. I got no feed back and 2 weeks ago went to a Standard bank branch to find out what was happening and the lady at enquiries said it is a case, I called the department for help and Resaad gave me number to call as they do not deal with the kind of queries I had. I called the number given and spoke to Annesa and still no one can explain what Ledger fees are and why were they being debited from my account. I want my money returned and they should only charge the service fees for the account not being in use.
