Good day,

We submitted death claim documents for my mother who recently passed away. The claim was submitted at the Old Mutual Tzaneen branch on the 30th of April 2013. My mother had 4 policies with Old mutual, the funeral claim for 5000 was processed and the we submitted claims for the following policy numbers as well on the same day: 11112654 and 11112655, to date these policies have not yet been processed!!!

We were misled by the servicing consultant who said that these benefits would be paid within 48 hours!!! 192 hours later were told she made an error, only after we followed up, nobody called us to notify us!!!

We have since been following up and on Tuesday the 14th we were told that our claims are currently been processed and that we should receive the funds by today the 17th of May, well, we have not received the funds yet, the Call centre agents keep on telling us to follow up everyday!! One consultant even requested my sisters email address and told her she will receive a confirmation email once done, well, she hasn't yet!!

Please release these funds within 24 hours before we write to the Ombuds man as the service we've been receiving is atrocious!!
