In June 2012 I started paying off my son's NMMU debt with Vericred (Account 209012470 Ref: VCB10757278).. In November & December 2012 no payments were made and I only paid R500.00 again in January 2013. I subsequently received a call from Vericred to inform me that the account had been withdrawn by NMMU in December 2012 already.
When I requested a refund of my R500.00 I was sent a refund policy document by Vericred containing a long list of requirements before the refund could be done. I submitted all the required documents but, on enquiry, was told that my son had to apply for the refund since the account was in his name.
My argument is that I have paid the money to Vericred, not my son, and I had provided proof thereof as well as adhered to all their refund requirements. To date, I have not yet been refunded nor contacted in any way by Vericred.
In order to comply with their refund requirements I had to incur costs which I have sent them an invoice for.
I would like Vericred to refund me immediately and reimburse me for my expenses incurred.
