Getting caught in a hit in run at 6:00 in the morning was not bad enough, my 'insurance' decided to make things even worse. After loyally paying every month for two years, only claiming once when my car was broken into, my 'insurance' is now refusing to payout one cent on my written off car. The reason for this is because i cannot recall the name of a broker i used 4 years ago - completely irrelevant to this claim!
Worst of all, when i first dealt with the claim, I was told that they would at least pay out enough the square the finance on the car. I made peace with not having a deposit & started arranging a new vehicle. Upon applying for a insurance quote on the new vehicle through virgin money, I was notified that nothing would be paid out on my claim. Why insure with Virgin? Seems like it's more like a monthly donation!
