I joined FNB because of the excellent services offered to me including the savings on my banking fees. I banked with Standard Bank for many years and had no issues. I now highly regret my decision to change banks. I recently applied for a home loan and my application was only approved for 95% at a rate of 9.95. This is almost 1.5% over prime!!! I find it extremely appalling that my application was not approved for a 100% or at the prime interest rate because of a change in the FNB lending process. My application was submitted a week and a half before the change came into place. I have always conducted all of my accounts in an excellent manner. I have never defaulted. Furthermore... your call centre staff could not help me because my application was submitted via my bond originator. Live up to the FNB Motto " How can we help you". The service standard has dropped drastically over the last 1 and a half years and I am now considering changing banks.
