I cancelled a contract with my ISP, who had a debit order on my account, They bill 1 month ahead, so 1 calendar month's notice is needed to cancel which both I and the ISP agreed on. However I sent a secure message to my bank to cancel off the debit order so it doesn't have a chance of going off accidentally after May, since May month is the last month and has been paid for. The response from a person working at the bank? "No Sir, we cannot cancel it, rather let it go off first then we can do a reverse transaction to recover the fund..."
Dear Std Bank, do you think that we, the paying clients are that stupid?
So I must let it go off my account, get charged for a transaction fee, then have it reversed and get charged another fee for that?
Are you serious about actually helping us, The Loyal Client?
Please tell me how you can have a motto like: "Simpler, Better, Faster"???
