I am EXTREMELY UPSET! Since I have taken out my policy with Budget insurance I never had one good experience with them. In actual fact I have my policy for 4 months and had THREE bad experiences!
First, I was ASKED by the consultant when I want my debit order to go off. When I said every last day of the month, all was fine. He did not mention that there will be "complications" with February only having 28 days. I had to pay a penalty fee because their system decided that my debit order will go off on the 4th of the next month. I had to re-deposit the premium into the bank in the middle of the month with a penalty fee. Already there's EXTRA bank charges for a returned debit order, the penalty I had to pay and the cash deposit fee charged by the bank for the re-deposit of funds. A consultant phoned me and a new date was agreed upon. The 1st of each month. I realised that the 1st was a Public Holiday thus I did not touch my bank account until the evening of the 2nd. Now again an sms "we have not received your premium". There were more than enough funds available. I refuse to pay penalties and feel that I must be re-reimbursed for unnecessary penalties and bank fees!
