On 09 September 2013 I purchased a voucher for an induction plate. On 10 September 2013 I e-mailed to cancel the purchase. Seven days later, on 17 Sept 2013, Groupon responded with an offer of a refund by way of Groupon credits, which I accepted within 10 minutes of the offer. On 18 September 2013 Groupon advises via e-mail that the deal cannot be cancelled as it "has already been processed and your item has either shipped or will be in transit shortly. At this point, I am unable to cancel your order. "
Not only did Groupon take 7 days to respond to the initial cancellation request, but furthermore did not honour their offer of the refund. The lack of customer service and admin is appalling. The processing of the order should have been halted with the cancellation request, at least.
It is completely unreasonable of Groupon to expect a customer to 'pay the price' for their bad service and attitude.
