I was attracted to a voucher I saw on Groupon for Govcon. It states that it will cost either R995 or R1200 (depending on the vehicle size) to have anti-smash and grab tint installed to four windows of my vehicle; a saving of up to 50%! If I want to include the rear window it will cost an extra R350 in accordance with the quote the aforementioned business had sent me the day before.
They also quoted me R1250 to apply anti-smash and grab tint to all the windows of my car.
This means that it would cost me R1500 to tint all my car windows using the Groupon voucher in comparison to the R1250 I was quoted by that company.
When enquiring about the cost of the tint I received feedback on the same day, but when I enquired about the discrepancy in what was advertised as a discounted price and what they had quoted me I received no reply after two emails.
The purpose of this complaint is to get clarification as to how this discrepancy came about, and also to encourage users of the Groupon service to fully scrutinize any deals they may consider buying
