We booked our flight from Durban to London before I was pregnant. We travelled to London in April and our return ticket was booked for Dec. According to the airline, I will be unable to fly on the 11th Dec as I am due on the 27th Dec and have struggled with sciatica and poor circulation during pregnancy. We booked through a travel agency Flight Centre who are trying everything they can to extend our tickets beyond April 14 (asking for a voucher that we can use at a later date, paying for an extension leaving later than April 14) but they have been told Emirates can do nothing for us. We just loose the ticket that we have paid for. Even though we have given them plenty of notice and they can sell our tickets and we are prepared to pay for the date change! What is the difference if we fly with Emirates on the 11th Dec 13 or 11th Dec 14? It seems that if Emirates has your money, they don't care after that!
