Cell C
Consumer robbed of handset warranties

Handed in my blackberry 9300 for repairs as it was not charging around the 8th of March 2013. They indicated that the phone will most likely take 21 days of which l should get it back fixed. They took the back cover and the battery since the issue was the charging system. The phone was collected with the cover but no battery. When l got home l noticed that there was no battery, phoned them up and they first told me that it was impossible that they owed me a battery as they dont book in phones with their batteries but they will solicit one for me. Got the battery, switched on the phone all was well. Trouble started again when l wanted to charge the phone again. It would not charge. Took it back to the store obviously twice as angry cause the issue was never resolved and all the battery missing story was to make sure that we dont check if this repair was done accordingly. The shop assistant booked it in and later sent an sms to say they will not attend to the phone as it was "liquid damaged". If thats the case, why does it not damage the total phone, why the charging system. This happens when the contract ends in May and l am stuck with a useless phone.
