Purchased a Cell C contract at the beginning of 2013, due to the relatively good deals on offer (cheapest call rates etc). Fair enough the calls and the contract deal is better than Vodacom and MTN, but how does this help if the reception is terrible.
- constant dropped calls
- crackling due to bad reception
Everytime I am on a call while driving (in JHB) the call either cuts or I have to end the call due to bad reception. So in effect I have to make two calls, which in turn works out more expensive.
Also, many times when the reception is decent, its because the cellphone is on a Vodacom signal, which implies that the Cell C signal is so bad that the phone has to piggy-back off another network.
Its all fair and well spending millions of rands, time and effort on new products and fancy adverts, but maybe Cell C should get the basics right by installing proper towers instead??? # just a thought
