We took my son's Blackberry in to the Altech branch at the Scottsville Mall on about the 25th July 2013. The phone was booked in for repairs as the people there said that it had to be sent in for repairs. The phone was only about four months old at the time.
The phone kept switching it's self-off. If the battery was removed and refitted it would come back on and work for a while and then do the same thing again.
We had to make arrangements for another cell phone for my son to use for business as they don't supply loan phones.
The "repair" took almost eight weeks and then the phone was returned without the battery which then took another four days to arrive.
The phone has only been back with him for about 1 week now and it is doing the same thing again!
We went into Altech Scottsville and were assisted by a very pleasant lady. She checked the history of the phone and the report "faulty battery" Not replaced even though phone is under warranty??
Three e-mails and three phone calls later to Auto page, three e-mail replies to say that we will be contacted in 24 hrs, now 288 hrs on no contact and still faulty phone. USELESS!!
Customer care staff just put the phone down!! PATHETIC!!!
