Upon subscribing to Zone Fitness in Kloof Street, my first question to the lady was 'what if I move? ', her answer was we have gyms all over SA. I am now moving to Ceres, and they do NOT have a gym there, and they refuse to cancel my gym contract. On the contract it states that you'll be charged a 40% deactivation fee, but when I wanted to cancel, they said it is 60% cancellation fee. And that they cannot even transfer it onto someone else's name to assist me in not having to spend another 15 months paying for something that I will not be using.
How can this be called customer service??? I hardly ever managed to find the time to use the gym any way, but the point remains - they'd rather have someone pay for something they are not using, than assist the person to end the contract.
Where is this country going to? Overseas i could cancel my contract immediately, here you always have drama.
Not a happy customer right now.
