My son's Edgars card was. We reported it to Edgars call centre the moment we realised what had happened, we have been to the Clerawater branch 3 times to see the manager, spoken to the call centre etc etc. The call centre operator told us that we have to pay the balance on the card and then (Edgars) only then will Edgars credit us with the R5000.00 that was. We dont want the R5000.00 credit to the account, we want the account closed. Neither of us ever want to shop at Edgars again. My son is now deemed to be a slow payer and cannot purchase a car until the above is resolved. So the insurance on the Edgars card is a joke. I was so pleased when 2 people in the queue behind us crumpled up their cards. The manager of course cannot tell us anything, except that it is on the system.
