I went to watch a movie last Tuesday at Ster-Kinekor Tygervalley, and had to purchase tickets with cash, so I booked at one of the cashiers.
I purchased two tickets, one with a Ster-Kinekor club card (ticket cost R 28 due to half price Tuesdays) and gave a Vitality Ster-Kinekor club card for discount on the other ticket. The cashier attempted to swipe the card a few times, and told me it was unreadable. I asked her if she wasn't able to enter the account number manually, and she wasn't. The second ticket ended up costing R 59 instead of R 25.
I find it ridiculous that a card number is not able to be entered manually, and I'm sure I'm not the only person who has had to pay more than double for a ticket due to a badly designed system.
