At the end of April, we started looking for apartments in Johannesburg. Three of the relevant apartments we found, were "listed" with Movein Property Management (MPM). On contacting them to set up viewings they said that the apartments were still available, but that it would cost R350 to see them. For this fee we would also get to see up to 3 properties in a specific area per day within our specified criteria, for a period of 3 months, and be able to advertise our current property with them. So we paid the R350 on 30 April. Since then the service has been appalling. We weren't able to see the 3 apartments that initially motivated us to pay the R350. Requests to see them were ignored. One person we were connected to lived in Riviera, Pretoria, NOT Johannesburg. According to MPM they had set up a viewing with her for us. According to her she had never heard of MPM and ONLY advertised in the Junk Mail. Another viewing, which didn't fall within our criteria, was set up at a time which didn't suit us. Requests to change the time were ignored. The first request for a reimbursement was answered with a generic list of available properties, and later requests have been ignored completely.
