I found a property to rent on the Property 24 website. I phoned the agent that was listed (Move in Property Management) to arrange a viewing and was told that in order to to do this I had to register with them - at a cost of R350. This, I was told, entitled me to a 3 month subscription. When I advised that I was not interested in a 3 month subscription (which means I get a useless list of properties available to rent for 3 month which I don't need) I was told to basically take my business elsewhere.
Beware everyone who is listing their properties for "free" - any potential renters will be scared away by having to pay R350 just to come and SEE your property.
