I submitted my ID application to Home Affairs in Edenvale in August 2012. I was advised that it would take a few months as I was keeping my maiden name as my middle name and changing my surname after getting married in July 2012.
I've phoned every month for an update to be told that it is at the Head Office. Today i checked the website which confirms that it is on stage 2 of 4.
The staff at Edenvale were helpful and processed the documents without having to wait in a long queue. Why has there been such a long delay in getting my ID processed.
How long does this take and what is the delay? It's been nearly 9 months.
