Incorrect information

I have just returned from the Edenvale Home Affairs and am absolutely shocked!
I applied for a change to my minors surname 8 weeks ago only to be told when I reach the front of the queue that I will need to wait a maximum of 6 MONTHS!
I have checked online and see that this takes between 6-8weeks!
