My son was 'conned' into signing a two year contract last year June - promised the world and beyond.
Within 3 days... he decided - nope... wanted out... and tried for days to contact them on the phone number given... no answer.
Eventually - went into the branch in Bromhof, asked for a copy of his contract and told them he wanted to cancel his contract - told he could not. this is illegal, as he has 7 days to do so, in terms of the Consumer Protection Act.
he has asked in vain for a copy of his contract, which we eventually got, one year later... and now we are told, sure, go ahead and cancel your contract, but you will need to pay half of the of the initial 7176 cost and a R495 cancellation fee - which is on the back of your signed contract... um... yes... which we never received a copy of until 12 months later... and we tried to cancel it within 7 days of signing it.
their response... TOUGH - PAY!
DO not sign up with these guys... they do not answer their phone... and when I called, to ask if I could cancel my contract, was told by a delightful ignorant young lady called Chantell, yes, it will only cost you R495.
