I have been receiving messages, emails and phone calls threatening to blacklist me because of an overdue account. surprisingly that account was settled in May 2012 with other Attorneys and I even have letter to prove it. I notified a lady that called me that I have settled the account and she insisted on the letter to be sent to her and I told her that I was on leave resuming duty on the 18th of July 2013 nevertheless she continued to send me threatening letters. when I got to the office I did email the letter and I also called them to follow up on the same day and I was told that they will only be able to get the letter after 48 hours. I then tried them today and surprisingly they did not receive the email though I sent it to 2 people hence neither one of them received it. is this a or what? what happens to people who don't have means to call and follow up on these things. I feel that we are being exploited by these people. I subsequently called absa bank and spoke to the lady by the name of Kelebughile who did not even sympathies with me on the situation, she confirms that indeed the account is paid up but will have to wait 72 hours to get confirmation. really now!
