We phoned Fridge Repairs Pretoria to come and look at our faulty fridge and freezer. The man on the phone said his name is Jim. He and their website proudly states that there is no call out fee. Then he explained they give you a quote for the repairs and he said we can decide if we want to go forth with the job or not. After saying no, all of a sudden there was a 'technition" fee of R295 and needs to be paid in cash immediately. After phoning to clear this up, someone slammed the phone down in my wife's ear. When I phoned they said I now only have to pay R195. Only one person came to look at the appliances and he was not an "expert" as the website states. Furthermore, the company said our fridge is worth R4000 and invoiced for R1250 to repair a 130litre fridge, old and worn out.( A new one is about R1800!!!)
Their services and website is deceiving. They are rude, vague and they tried to get cash paid by hand to the "expert" technition. Their registered name is AAA Home Services as on the invoice. Supporting businesses like this robs honest and qualified workmen of good reputations. They are not working only in Pretoria, rest of Gauteng as well.
