I booked a car through Avis car rental services for pick up@16:00 in Hatfield on the 15th of November 2013 and return on 18 Nov 2013, i had made a reservation for a Group H vehicle. When i spoke to Yvette on that Friday she told me they do not have group h vehicles in the branch but i can pick up the car from O.R Tambo where i was gladly assistant by Gaylene. The quoted rental fee on res#02223411ZA1 was R2149, i am surprised to see that Avis has charged me an amount of R2705, which is R556.00 more than the quoted fee, and despite the fact that i filled the tank in an Engen Garage which is just 80-90Meters away from Avis Hatfield where i dropped off the car. when i insisted on the team in Hatfield to check the car so they can confirm i refueled it, i was told i need not worry. even more strangely i had to call AVIS yesterday (22-November 13) to request them to charge the rental fee as they had not done so 4 days later after i had returned the car.
i would would be happy to get an explanation from Avis clarifying the extra charges and telling me what were they for.
