Lionel Motors
Nissan Pathfinde

I bought a Nissan Pathfinder from Westvaal Motors and the vehicle started giving me problems. I took it back to Westvaal and they sent it to Lionell Motors. Lionel Motors opened the engine and said the problem is the balancing shaft gear broke. They quoted nearly R43000 to repair it and i repaired the broken part for R80, gave it back to them and they assembled the engine. The vehicle was then taken for a testdrive and on the way back to the garage, the crankshaft broke. The vehicle stood for 1 year and 4 months at Lionel Motors and was eventually repaired. When my wife fetched it, she did not even drive one block and the turbo packed up. She took it back to them and they were not very helpfull, although they said they can repair it and give us the turbo at cost... R19000. My wife took the car to another company and they repaired the vehicle. When they wanted to claim from SA Warrenties, they did not want to pay the repairs because the vehicle was not serviced. I feel that Lionel Motors can pay for the turbo or sort out the problem with SA Warrenties.
