Early yesterday evening 2 friends & I went to Piatto for dinner. As we arrived a group table was leaving, who had been attending their Christmas party. The last employee left, a young lady, was in a state of extreme inebriation. She was in no fit to drive; barely able to stand, let alone walk. Sadly her colleagues seemed to have no care or worry about her wellbeing.
Thankfully the management & staff of Piatto helped her with coffee; insisted she not leave yet and arranged a taxi for her. It must have taken this lady over half an hour to get from the restaurant to the car arranged to collect her by Piatto. Taking several breaks by sitting on the outside lounge chairs, on the floor, in the road, etc. During all that time there was a staff member of Piatto on hand, either to help her along or to simply keep an eye on her eye & ensure she came to no harm.
Thankfully this unknown lady's company booked at Piatto. Without their care and support, this lady's employers would be undoubtedly having to phone her parents & loved ones today. Who likewise would be spending Christmas week planning her funeral.
