Good Morning,
Once again I have been let down by ABSA.This morning I went to the shop and tried to by groceries only to find when going to the till that my Debit card which has no expiry date on it has expired. I tried a couple of time and had to leave the groceries at the shop because I could not pay for it. When I went to the ATM to try and draw money I got a message stating my card is retained and I have to contact the bank. Upon contacting the bank I was infomed that the card expired and is no longer working because they a fazing out the cards without chip and that they did inform all customers that from the 1st of April the old cards will no longer work via SMS which I did not receive. This is pathetic as no I have to sit on a public holiday wihtout being able to draw money or use my card. Once again awefull service from ABSA.
